Join Basically editor Amiel Stanek as he attempts to cook a potato in almost every way possible. Which method is the best? Is it juiced potatoes? No, it’s definitely not juiced potatoes. But maybe it’s worth trying because life is for living and it’s good for you. Or maybe not, because it is absolutely disgusting.

Can't tell if this is supposed to be serious or not. I mean, unless at some point he cooks a potato in a dishwater, I'll assume it's totally in earnest.

You can also rice cooked potato without adding anything afterwards. It's a fluffier lighter version of cooked potato that also looks pretty nice.

Tanja Hermann says:

The mashed potatoes from cooled down potatoes that you need to peel first makes no sense. In Germany you boil peeled quartered potatoes in salt water, then drain, right away add the warm milk with melted butter, some salt and white pepper in it (don't skimp on the butter) and then you mash it right in the warm pot. I give it a quick fluff with a whisk to make them creamier. Done!
