Delicious wholesome kheer made with dalia cooked with milk and jaggery



5 tablespoons broken wheat (dalia)
2 tablespoons ghee
8-10 cashewnuts, broken
2½ cups milk
3 tablespoons jaggery powder
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
A pinch of nutmeg powder


1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cashewnuts and fry till golden brown. Darin on absorbent paper.
2. Add broken wheat and sauté on medium heat for 1 minute. Add milk, jaggery powder, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix.
3. Add half of fried cashewnuts, cover and pressure on high heat for 5-6 minutes.
4. Serve hot garnished with remaining fried cashewnuts.
